Vergelijk «Ceriana vespiformis»: in Nederland werden in oude collecties achteraf een aantal correcties doorgevoerd, Ceriana heeft uitgroeisel op het voorhoofd.

 

Biotopes
Larven op boomsappen. Soort van goed ontwikkelde loofbossen.
