Gedetermineerd Rob Edmunds (van british leafminers
en bevestigd door Willem N Ellis: « this must be Chromatomytia syngenesiae (with the usual addition that there is always the possibility of C. hortensis). These mines can be quite crowded
on
Sonchus species, especially when the plants are stressed. There usually is some preference (in most mining species) for leaves that are more or less senescent. Probably they have lost part of their resistance against insect attack. That will explain why Bart found them mostly on the lower leaves. »
